AstroLabs and the Italian Agency for Foreign Trade (ICE) have joined forces to launch the second edition of the Global Startup Program in the United Arab Emirates.

This program aims to support 12 Italian technology startups in expanding their businesses in the United Arab Emirates and other nations of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). AstroLabs, with its extensive experience in the MENA region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, has worked closely with ICE to customize a comprehensive market entry program in the UAE.

In two months, participating startups will receive support to improve their technical, organizational and financial skills, as well as a tailor-made market entry strategy.

The second edition of the Global Startup Program welcomes 120 Italian startups from sectors as diverse as artificial intelligence, foodtech, medtech, circular economy, e-commerce and more. The UAE is one of eight countries worldwide selected to host these emerging startups, reflecting the growing interest and attractiveness of the UAE as an expansion market.

WHAT THE PROGRAMME OFFERS

The programme not only offers startups an opportunity for growth in the UAE market, but also fosters innovation and collaboration between Italian and Emirate business ecosystems. Through the support of ICE, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and local business communities, startups will have access to valuable resources and networking opportunities.

AstroLabs will also provide coworking spaces as a launch platform for startups, providing them with a favorable environment to enter and operate in the UAE market. The program, scheduled to begin on October 4, will culminate with the launch of Italian startups in the UAE market, preparing them for a promising future in the UAE digital economy.
